Each of the four focal lengths in this hand made lens set (28, 38, 58 and 88mm) contains a matched 1949 Meyer Primoplan optical block (Extended Triplet) with aperture of f1.9 (t2.0). Capable of covering Alexa LF, Sony Venice, and RED VV in open gate, this is the first time a complete set of lenses based upon the Primoplan ‘bubble bokeh’ optical formula has been available for cinematographic purposes.

The fragile single layer coatings are in near perfect condition - achieved by selecting the finest elements from a large number of donor lenses.

The external finish is silver anodised, with brass structural plates, and details chemically aged for an authentic vintage patina.

Incorporated within each focal length is an oversized aperture iris, permitting light to make its way onto ground optical edges beyond the optical clear aperture for unpredictable flaring when the iris is set to wide open. When closed down to match the true f1.9(t2.0) clear aperture the lenses behave normally.

These lenses are marked with imperial focus scales and their stainless PL mount is shallow - allowing use with speed boosters, expanders and behind the lens optical filters.
